Following a very successful initial partnership last season, GASGAS has once again thrown its weight behind the Hertz FIM Trial World Championship and will continue as the series’ Official Bike Manufacturer for 2023.

The partnership is mutually beneficial with GASGAS supplying its E-Bikes G Trail 1.0 model for the use of TrialGP officials and at the same time enjoying the exposure that goes hand-in-hand with being associated with the world’s premier Trial series.

GASGAS’s efforts in the 2023 Hertz FIM Trial World Championship will be focused around twenty-five-year-old Spaniard Jaime Busto and twenty-three-year-old Norwegian Sondre Haga with both riders new factory signings for this season.

Busto finished last year’s TrialGP campaign in a career-best second and will be determined to go one better this season while Haga clinched the 2022 Trial2 title which he will be aiming to defend this year. America’s Maddie Hoover will represent the marque in TrialGP Women after finishing last season in a strong seventh position.

GASGAS’ 2023 Hertz FIM Trial World Championship campaign will again be overseen by Albert Cabestany, the 2002 FIM X-Trial World Champion.

Fabio Muner, FIM Marketing and Digital Director, said: “We are delighted to renew our relationship with GASGAS for another season so we can build on the foundations we laid together in 2022.

“Last season proved to be very beneficial to all concerned and we look forward to taking our relationship with such an innovative manufacturer to the next level in 2023 as we work to develop our shared goals.”

René Esterbauer, Head of GASGAS & MSP Communication, stated: “We’re thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with the Hertz FIM Trial World Championship, building off what was a very successful first year of partnering with the series in 2022. Trial is the DNA of GASGAS and we want to do all we can to help the sport grow and get new riders involved.

“This year we’re excited to increase our onsite activations at each event and present our fantastic range of Trial bikes to the public. Finally, we can’t wait to see our GASGAS Factory Racing riders in action while at the same time encouraging more and more fans to GET ON THE GAS!”

While GASGAS’ influence extends to virtually all two-wheeled motorsports following a recent programme of development, the marque’s roots are firmly in Trial where it has been a major player on the global scene since 1986.
