On the opening day of the FIM Sustainability Week 2022, the FIM is pleased to launch its #MotorcyclingIs social media campaign with the aim to bring everyone involved within the 2-wheeled industry together to promote sharing, equality and inclusion among the passionate individuals who strive to build a more global and diverse motorcycling community.
The purpose and mechanisms of the campaign are clearly explained within the launch video, and will benefit from the ongoing support of the likes of Greg Hancock, Laia Sanz, Alex Salvini ,Toni Bou, Maria Herrera and many more…
Director of the FIM Women in Motorcycling Commission Nita Korhonen: “We believe that our passion makes us all equal so with this campaign we want to show that we are all united by motorcycling. In the end it doesn´t matter who you are, you are welcome to join the motorcycling world. This campaign will also provide us a great opportunity to see how many different meanings motorcycling has for everyone. We are very happy that so many people have realised the importance of diversity and inclusion and have wanted to join this special campaign.”
Director of the International Sustainability Commission Katia Juárez Dubón: “It is a real pleasure to open the 2022 Sustainability Week with this campaign to promote gender equality. Supporting the empowerment of women and the reduction of the gender gap, is essential to achieve the 2030 agenda and the global challenge to meet the Sustainable Development Goals. The world of motorcycling and its different dimensions: tourism, sport, mobility, industry, an accelerator of sustainable development, and a laboratory for new technologies opens up an enormous range of possibilities for the development of the women. Support from all sectors is crucial and campaigns like this also support the FIM ambitions to deliver on its sustainability strategy. #MotorcyclingIs a real sustainability booster!”
