The sun’s beating down on the Camprodon paddock where the best riders on the planet are preparing for the opening round of the 2017 FIM Trial World Championship.
Yesterday was set-up day with the teams arriving in the morning before the custom-built stage was tested to the maximum with a ‘family photo’ featuring all sixty-one competitors who will be in action this weekend in the TrialGP, Trial2 and Trial125 classes.
With riders from fourteen nations spread across four continents competing this truly is a World Championship and today the serious action starts with the two-hour official practice/qualification practice session getting under way at 11:00.
Following lunch there will be a rider autograph session and then at 15:00 focus will switch to the qualification section where the radical new format will be implemented for the first time to determine starting order for Sunday’s Trial.
If you are not lucky enough to be in Spain to witness the action first-hand you can watch qualification live from 15:00 CET on the Red Bull Motorsports Facebook page here…
And do not forget, you can also keep yourself fully up to speed using the new TrialGP Live app.
