The recent addition of British lubricants company Rock Oil to the line-up of official TrialGP partners prior to the opening event of the 2017 series this coming weekend in Camprodon, Spain confirms the quality of support Sport7’s new venture has already attracted prior to a wheel even being turned.
The current TrialGP partner line up also includes other global brands, those being Red Bull who have provided a range of event tools / support and access to their far reaching media platforms; Alpinestars who have supplied the official staff apparel and media services assistance; Jitsie who have contributed all the section / course materials and official bibs; Hope Technology who will be responsible for designing and engineering the first ever series trophy in the forty-three year history of the FIM Trial World Championship that will be revealed later this year; and Michelin whose tyres are used almost exclusively in the TrialGP series despite there currently being no tyre restrictions.
Welcoming Jake Miller from Sport7 to their new HQ to confirm the TrialGP agreement, Greg Hewitt Managing Director, Rock Oil said. “The decision to become a partner was an easy one to make. We have an established relationship with Jake Miller through our agreement with Dougie Lampkin and the team have consistently delivered and go the extra mile to add further value to the relationship. The global reach of TrialGP will help both our UK and export business across all our market sectors.”
Hewitt continued. “I am delighted for the Rock Oil brand to be involved with the series in 2017 and I’m sure the plans the new team have will push the championship onto a new level. Rock Oil has a long history of working in Trial and this sector of two-wheeled motorsport was one of the first supported by the company in the early 80’s. To now be in a position to be a part of the FIM Trial World Championship in the new TrialGP era is fantastic.”
Working with brands with which there was already a long and loyal relationship with is a theme that runs through all the TrialGP partners and Jitsie is another that was delighted to support the series at an early stage.
Speaking about the TrialGP partnership, Jan Cardinaels owner and founder of Jitsie explained. “We have known and worked with Jake now for over fifteen years. We share the same passion for the sport of Trial, but more importantly we share the same ideas in terms of taking the sport forward and how to use new methods to reach new audiences and to engage with the kids who will be the future of Trial.”
Cardinaels concluded by adding. “Jake and his team have a great track record of delivery to the very highest standards and will bring a new and much needed level of professionalism to the series. From Jitsie’s point of view, Trial is our core market so to be able to support and be involved with the premier series makes absolute sense for us especially in terms of global visibility.”
Summing up TrialGP Championship Director Jake Miller said. “We have been overwhelmed by the faith and support that all our official partners have invested in the TrialGP project at this early stage. We are committed to making sure that they get exceptional return on their investment and to developing and extending what are already long, trusted and highly valued relationships.”
