05/06/17 – With no TrialGP events over the weekend, it was an opportunity for some of the series contenders to switch their attentions to domestic duties with the latest round of the British championship attracting a number of leading international riders to its entry list.

The British seaside resort of Scarborough hosted the fourth stop of the British series at the well established Low North Park venue. TrialGP rookie Jack Price – Gas Gas, fresh from his career best ninth place on the second day in Japan, once again showed his potential as he ran out an easy winner over his main domestic rivals.

Trial2 campaigner Dan Peace – Gas Gas followed his team mate home in second spot, whilst former Youth World Champion Jack Sheppard – Beta, who now only competes on the national stage, completed Saturday’s podium.

With only five marks splitting second to fifth places, competition for the upper positions proved as fierce as ever. Fellow Trial2 protagonists Toby Martyn – Vertigo and Jack Peace – Gas Gas took fourth and fifth spots respectively, leaving last Sunday’s Trial2 winner in Japan Iwan Roberts – Beta down in sixth spot in his home series.

These leading British runners will be back in action on the World stage, when the TrialGP series resumes for round three in Andorra on 17 / 18 June.
