17/07/17 – With the start of the 2017 TrialGP Women / Trial2 Women series…

With the start of the 2017 TrialGP Women / Trial2 Women series just around the corner, what better moment to celebrate the FIM Women’s Trial World Championship with a week packed full of female related content.

This season marks the eighteenth edition of the Women’s series which was first contested as an FIM World Cup in 2000 before having its status elevated to full FIM World Championship in 2005. Not only was the FIM Women’s Trial World Championship the first female series for the FIM, but it has been and remains the most well represented of all the female championships even today.

2017 will mark yet another land mark for our female competitors, with the event on 28-30 July in Kingman, USA being the first time that the Women’s series has been contested outside of Europe in its eighteen-year history. Moreover, the event in America will also mark the start of the brand new Trial2 Women class that mirrors the male class and offers even more equality for the broad spectrum of female talent that will take part in the three-round campaign that will also take in events in the Czech Republic and Italy.

Over the next week, enjoy exclusive TrialGP Women interviews with defending TrialGP Women champion Emma Bristow – Sherco and America’s Maddie Hoover – Gas Gas – who will be going all out for home glory in the Trial2 Women class when the series kicks off – plus a look back at how the battle for the 2016 female title played out.

Keep tuned in for the next TrialGP Women purple features.
