24/03/17 – TrialGP Women – One of the finest female trials riders Italy has ever produced, Sara Trentini – Beta has been a feature of the FIM Women’s Trial World Championship since making her debut in 2010.

For three years – 2012 / 2013 / 2014 – she was a regular in the top 10 but slipped back to 11th in 2015. However, last year she bounced back to end the championship ninth, one place lower than her best finish of eighth that came in 2013.

Sara has enjoyed a good winter training programme and goes into the 2017 TrialGP Women season full of confidence.

“My training plan for the winter involved a lot of time spent in the gym and on my bike,” says Sara. “I tried to increase my time on the bike to further improve my skills and I feel a lot more comfortable now.”

After six years in the championship Sara is still very ambitious and aims to better last season’s World ranking.

“My goal is to climb the leader board to improve on last year’s ninth position but I know the competition is going to be tough because there are a lot of good riders!”

Closer to home, she also has her sights set on yet another National crown.

“I will also participate in all the Italian Championship rounds and try to win my seventh National title.”

The rider from Riva del Garda – prime trials country in the north of Italy – has loved the sport for almost as long as she can remember.

“Ever since I was a child my dream was to become a professional trials rider,” she adds. “Riding my bike is my passion and I’m so happy when I ride and even more so when I win or get a good result!”
