25/01/18 – Sport7, the promoters of the TrialGP series, are delighted to announce that Rock Oil have extended their partnership with the FIM Trial World Championship until 2019. The British based lubricants company that celebrates its ninetieth anniversary this year, has exercised its option to maintain its association with the blue-ribbon series for another two years having enjoyed a hugely successful initial relationship during the inaugural 2017 season.

During Sport7’s recent visit to Rock Oil’s newly built state of the art headquarters on the outskirts of Warrington, the opportunity was taken to confirm the final details of the agreement and to ink the deal that provides the potential for the parties to further extend their partnership through to 2021.

Speaking about the new agreement, Greg Hewitt Managing Director of Rock Oil said: “The decision to renew the partnership was a very easy one to make. We have an established relationship and throughout 2017 the team delivered a high-quality championship and went the extra mile to add further value.”

Hewitt went on to say. “This year see’s Rock Oil celebrate its ninetieth anniversary and going through a dramatic period of change and growth. I am delighted for Rock Oil to be involved with the series in 2018 and beyond and I’m sure the team will continue to drive the championship forward and generate more awareness for the Rock Oil brand.”

Confirming their extensive association with the sport Hewitt ended by explaining. “Rock Oil has a long history of working in trials and this sector of two-wheeled motorsport was one of the first supported by the company in the early eighties. To now be in a position to be a part of the FIM Trial World Championship in the new TrialGP era is fantastic, which coupled with other partnerships with the likes of Dougie Lampkin and current TrialGP Women World Champion Emma Bristow ensure Rock Oil remains at the forefront of Trial competition.”

Adding his own words TrialGP Championship Director Jake Miller said. “Loyalty is one of our key values at Sport7 and is something that is core to building the long-term success of the TrialGP Championship. Rock Oil had both the trust and faith to invest in the series last year, before the championship had had the chance to prove itself. Thanks to the excellent relationship we enjoyed over the first term, when we actually managed to surpass expectations, we have now been able to repay their foresight by ensuring that Rock Oil remains an important and prominent partner over the coming years.”
