01/04/17 – TrialGP – Having just clinched his eleventh consecutive FIM Indoor / X-Trial World Championship, it is difficult to find new words to describe the sheer scale of this achievement by Toni Bou – Repsol Honda, especially as there appears to be no sign of his amazing success stopping anytime soon.

At the age of thirty, Bou has now amassed an insurmountable twenty-one individual FIM World titles to add to the nineteen FIM team prizes gained alongside his Spanish compatriots. Judging by both his performances and results during the 2017 FIM X-Trial World Championship, Bou has much more to give and barring injury is already the favourite to return and successfully defend his latest title when the new outdoor series kicks off.

Whilst Toni may have allowed himself the luxury of celebrating yet another championship winning campaign with those close to him in the French city last night, he will now soon turn his attentions to his next conquest as he looks to secure Spanish success alongside his Repsol Honda team mate Jaime Busto at this Friday FIM X-Trial des Nations in Pau, France.

With the Spanish duo clear favourite to make Bou’s team tally of FIM prizes to twenty, Toni will have then just over a month to prepare himself ready for the defence of his FIM Trial World Championship that starts in his home country in mid-May. Like the title says, there is no stopping Bou, for the moment and foreseeable future at least.
