09/06/17 – TrialGP Andorra – A competitor in the FIM Trial World Championship since 2002, Spain’s Jeroni Fajardo – Vertigo only has a single victory to his name, his winning moment coming at the TrialGP Andorra back in 2009 when he was just twenty-four. Now thirty-two years of age Fajardo continues to challenge amongst the higher order on a regular basis, but has yet to register a rostrum finish in 2017, despite having been close on all three counting days thus far.
A quick check of the current general standings shows Fajardo holding third position, much thanks to his consistency during the opening two events in his home land and in Japan, where he registered a run of three fourth places. In what is almost like his second home event of the season, with many of his fans likely to make the short trip across the border from Spain into the mountains of Andorra, Jeroni will be eager to at least secure his first podium placing of the new campaign and perhaps even repeat the success he enjoyed at the same venue back in 2009.
Twelve months ago, Fajardo recorded sixth and third positions respectively over the then two days of competition. This time around, Jeroni will be only too aware of making sure of a strong qualification performance next Saturday, if he is to give himself every chance of success during Sunday’s main event.
